In some ways, already, it feels like I never left my day job behind. But in reality, three short weeks ago, I embarked on one last adventure before I returned to work. EOS, a brand known for their unique and seriously effective lip balms (which I’ve written about before), whisked a group of Canadian bloggers off to New York for the pre-launch of their new crystal lip balm. We spent only twenty-eight hours in the city, but in a city like New York, you can do a lot in a short time. And we certainly did!
The highlight of our very brief adventure was meeting the EOS team. We arrived in Manhattan, ordered room service, changed and jumped in an UBER to go straight to the Meatpacking District. After a delayed flight, it felt a little rushed, I admit – but wow. If it was ever worth rushing, it was that day. We arrived at an ordinary looking building, where we took a freight elevator… and walked out of it to find ourselves in blogger heaven. An all-white loft with incredible views of the city greeted us – as did champagne cocktails and the most beautiful arrangement of beauty products I’ve ever seen, complete with fresh flowers, succulents and a neon sign.
It was such a treat just to be there and to meet the EOS team in person. But it was also really cool to have the chance to learn about the science of making lip balm. There is a lot more to it than I would have guessed! I admit, in true blogger style, I spent half my time snapping photo after photo after photo. But who could resist? And EOS Crystal, which is an oil-based lip balm, might just be the prettiest of all. Full disclosure: I haven’t tried it yet because it looks so lovely and I still want to take more flat lays with it! What I can tell you is that both scents, Hibiscus Peach and Vanilla Orchid, smell good enough to eat. (I’m partial to Hibiscus Peach, though. I love all things peach.)
I will be the first to admit that I am totally disconnected from products I use every day. I’ve carried a lip balm in my purse every day since I was thirteen – back then it was Lip Smackers, these days it’s usually EOS. But until two weeks ago, I’d never given much thought to how lip balms are made… or to how much pride brands like EOS take in making the best, most innovative lip balms possible. This trip was an eye-opener for me. Since I got back, I haven’t once just tossed my lip balm in the bottom of my purse!
I have lots more to share from our NYC adventure next week. But in the meantime, I’m curious – have you tried EOS? I’d love to hear about your favourite lip products!
Special thanks to Faulhaber Communications and EOS for making this trip such a memorable experience.
Yay, what an incredibly fun adventure and fabulous opportunity. The launch sounds dreamy and I can not wait to try their new lip balm. Love the packaging and pretty sure I’m going to love that peach – sounds hard to resist! Can’t wait to hear more about your trip + happy hump day lovey! We’re off to lunch with my Aunt & parents!! xo

Sounds like such an amazing trip! Sad it was short, but still, a fun little excursion before returning to the reality of your day job. I love EOS and have probably half a dozen lip balms rolling around my purse and apartment. I always make sure to keep the ‘sun ball’ (yellow one with spf) on hand for any summer outings!
What a stunning space! And it sounds like a truly great adventures. I always have an EOS balm with me. My little girl loves them too!
Cee, I remember when you went on this trip! This is awesome! Whenever you see what it takes to get something made you’re given a new appreciation for things. I haven’t heard of their crystal formula, but will definitely look for it. I’m a HUGE fan of PEACH everything! LOL Great post
