Happy holidays!
It’s that time of year again – the time when I find myself marvelling at just how quickly twelve months goes by, despite how many periods within those twelve months feel slow. It was just December first yesterday, but somehow Christmas is here. Chanukkah, too. Once again, just like every year, I find myself both gratified and slightly baffled that so many of you consciously choose to take time out of your busy lives, time you could spend on anything at all, to follow along on my adventures – and stick around for my more mundane moments, too. Thank-you.
So, before taking a desperately needed break, I wanted to pop in to say, “Happy holidays!” Whatever, and however, you choose to celebrate, I hope this season brings more calm and joy than stress and frustration. (But I acknowledge that for most people it will, inevitably, encompass both.) And I hope that whatever the new year has in store for you, it will prove, although imperfect, because everything in life is, to be better than you could have imagined.
Happy Holidays! Seasons Greetings! And a very, very happy New Year!
Hope you had a Christmas with more calm and joy as well – and it’s truly remarkable how quickly the years go by, but getting to read your blog over the last decade has always been something I look forward to.
