As promised, here it is; the answer to a question I never expected to have to ask… What does a person wear to a Britney Spears concert?
In case you don’t know, my BFFFFF is a Britney Spears mega-fan, and has been since she released Hit Me Baby One More Time just before Christmas when we were in eighth grade. Just yesterday, we were laughing, because although we are so close and so similar in many ways, our taste in music is totally opposite. If he loves a song, chances are I will want to shut it off within the first three bars. And vice versa. But despite our opposing views on what constitutes a good song, we find a way to make our relationship work. And when he told me he bought us tickets to see Britney Spears in Vegas, I found a silver lining – I would need a new outfit.
It’s rare that I rationalise a new outfit for any event anymore (although it was, at one time, among my best tricks.) But my existing wardrobe included nothing suitable for a pop concert. Sequins were in order, and I knew it. (It turned out every other woman in attendance at Planet Hollywood that night did, too. Whether that means I’m not original or that I nailed this look remains up for discussion.) It isn’t exactly easy to wear sequins and maintain a minimal sartorial esthetic, but I think I’ve proven it is possible.
My perfect sequinned bodysuit came from REVOLVE, which really is my go-to shop for, well, everything. I paired with pieces that were already in my closet, because truthfully I didn’t want a whole new outfit. I wanted to be comfortable and new clothes are never as comfortable as lived in ones. The result was an outfit that looked like me but was flashy enough for a very memorable evening – one that involved a lot of glitter and confetti.
My BFFFFF has now seen Britney Spears in concert three times. This was my first of her concerts and also probably my last. So I had to make my outfit count. After almost eight hours spent standing, I did impulse-buy flip flops on our walk home. Eight hours in heels, and the ensuing blisters, are no joke. But that aside, I can honestly say I had no regrets about my outfit choice. If I had to do it over again, I’d wear the exact same thing.
I love this concert look (and seeing the Venetian in the background of your photos – I love that place!). Such a perfect amount of glitter.

Haha I love this especially because I’m considering seeing Backstreet Boys in Vegas in February. And sequins was definitely a consideration. You look great!
Needless to say you look dashing, perfect choice of wear-
