I can honestly say that I never thought I would put together a Shop with Cee post focussed on current trends – but there is a first time for everything! Earlier this week, I talked about how my style and current trends seem to be suddenly (and probably temporarily) aligned. From statement sleeve tops to denim skirts and even, yes, even a floral kimono, I’ve added a seriously surprising number of on-trend clothes to my wardrobe this season. But that doesn’t mean I’ve changed my personal style at all. It’s true that I didn’t expect to suddenly give up heels in favour of flats, but it happened naturally. And with the mule and slide trends still in full force, I have to say that it feels like perfect timing.
I own every article of clothing featured in this article. Most months, I focus on items I covet, rather than ones I already own, but this month, it made more sense to share a bit of reality. There are a lot of current trends I don’t love – for one thing, I’ll never understand how chokers came back around again. But it has been fun to fall for some of the latest styles. (And even, for once, to indulge myself with a cult item – the Ellenn James rattan bag. It proved far more practical than I imagined it would be!)
This month, rather than asking what you’ve been lusting after lately, I want to pose a different question. We all shop. We know this about each other. So tell me, what is your favourite piece that you’ve added to your wardrobe recently? And is it an on-trend item, or something more classic?
I love the denim skirt and tied top. I’ve been waiting for fall to wear all the comfy sweaters. The AC at work is so high, I freeze all day anyway. I want fall to come and allow me to keep the sweaters on. http://www.mrsqbeauty.com
I wish I could pull off a floral kimono (I’ve tried before and I definitely can’t) – they are such great pieces, and I love the one you’re featuring here.

I’ve been enjoying my rattan bag too, it holds a good amount and feels right for summer. I’ve also been enjoying mules and slides, and would love that floral kimono. Though I doubt I wear it out of the house, I like having cute lounge wear.

I love the kimono, the culotte and the sandals :-*

The tied top is superb and my fave. All of these items looks so “you” 🙂
That white top and rattan bag look so good Cee! Very beautiful.
I’m a classic girl! LOL I just purchased a military coat (great with pants) and a jacket.

For me, it’s definitely the round Ellen James bag! So happy I pulled the trigger on that one – even if it does smell a little weird! 😉
Does yours have the smell too? I meant to ask – I’ve been storing mine outside as much as possible, hoping the campfire odour will dissipate! No luck so far, sadly.
xox,
Cee
Yes! It does! When it first arrived, it STANK of insence, or campfire if you will. I’ve left it out on our balcony almost every night for weeks now, and the smell is finally starting to dissipate. But it still smells faintly of hippie caravan. I will keep airing it out, maybe around October it won’t smell at all…? 😉 Good luck!
