Embrace the chaos and take in as much as you can in the very limited time you have, of course. At least, that’s what I did a few weeks ago on a whirlwind visit to the city with EOS…
After a six-hour (!) flight delay, we made it from Vancouver to New York, and through all the traffic from JFK to Manhattan, where we stayed at The Ludlow Hotel on the Lower East Side. The rooms were picture perfect – I wish I had gotten better shots of the white and gold bathroom, complete with vintage-style vanity lights and Maison Martin Margiela bathrobes. But jet lag. We were ravenous and room service was necessary. Like good fashion bloggers, we ordered avocado toast, which was amazing… and a side of curly fries. (Sorry not sorry.) We ate as much as we could while changing to dash off to the EOS event…
We met the EOS team, learned more than I knew there was to know about lip balm and, yes, definitely posed for a million photos with this amazing view…
We wandered through SoHo, with mandatory stops at some of the most beloved blogger spots in the neighbourhood – including Cha Cha Matcha and Seamore’s.
Did I mention that was on our way to dinner? We had the most amazing meal at Nomo Kitchen with all our fellow bloggers – it was really cool to have a chance to get to know everyone in a more casual, natural way when we weren’t all focused on taking photos. But of course, we still took photos.
We woke up to sun… followed by a sudden thunderstorm. The skies cleared just after 8 o’clock, so we were able to get out and see as many sights as we could possibly manage. We hit Times Square, the New York Public Library (which is my favourite – seriously the best location for outfit photos) and Bryant Park. All before brunch!
We fuelled up on caffeine – and food, too – for the day at Jack’s Wife Freda. This restaurant has been a blogger favourite for years and one of my favourites since I first visited in 2015. The poached eggs and halloumi are all I’ve ever ordered because they’re so good I can’t miss a chance to have it again! After brunch, we wandered the West Village – there are just so many picturesque spots in the area.
After the quickest trip to Bloomingdale’s on Lexington, we hopped in a cab, grabbed our bags and made for JFK airport. I’m pretty sure I only slept for about five hours between our departure from Vancouver and our return. Honestly? It was totally worth it. I’d do the whole thing over again in a heartbeat.
Special thanks to Faulhaber Communications and EOS for making this trip such a memorable experience.
I love these pics! They are awsome :-*

Great post! I still haven’t tried EOS lip balms, but I will pick one up soon. Sounds like you had a great time. The pictures are fantastic! http://www.mrsqbeauty.com
I’m so impressed you packed that much in! Every time I’m in New York I try to cram an insane amount in too – I can’t bear to not visit the MET each time I’m there.

Glad you had such an amazing trip! You really did manage to squeeze in quite a bit for a short stay, and I’m happy the NYC weather mostly cooperated with you as well!

Cee, I’m always amazed what you can fit into a day, let alone a trip! And you always look chic doing so. Whether dressed up or down. That grey dress is a stunner! Gorgeous sleeves.

Oh I just love how you’ve laid out this post! And what an amazing trip, plus hello avo toast and hotel bed. So dreamy!!! Plus love both your outfits too… so chic and void of colour. My favourite! Haha!! 😉 But honestly, I don’t think I’m buying anything but cream, grey and black for fall! And I know… you won’t object! xo
