Today marks our twelfth day in Paris. Despite the fact that we are still early in our stay, in some ways it feels like we have been here forever – indeed, though some of the places we love have closed, and we are living in a different neighbourhood now, at times it feels like we never left at all. But there are other moments when I remember vividly the very different life I was living just two weeks ago, and in those moments, I can’t feel anything but lucky. I know that at a certain point, the time will start to fly by and before we know it, we’ll be back in Canada again. In the meantime, I am trying to make every moment of this slow, easy time count – while somehow simultaneously fitting in as many activities as I can manage within reason, like coffee dates with girlfriends (and in fact, these photos date back to our very first full day here, when I met up with my girlfriend Cindy from Vancouver, who was in town for Fashion Week, at Cafe Kitsune), long, meandering wanders through galleries and glasses of wine enjoyed outside on a cafe terrace. If it sounds like I’ve been living a charmed life, it’s no doubt because I have… and, admittedly, I’m still finding it slightly hard to believe this is all happening, particularly as we’re leaving for Greece tomorrow, a country that has been on my must-visit list for most of my life. Wherever you are, and whatever you’re up to, I hope your Monday is as wonderful as mine.

  1. Oh Cee, I can honestly say… since your snaps & detailed accounts of your time in Paris… I have honestly fallen in LOVE with the city + I’m craving to go back to Europe ASAP!! I’ve been feverishly googling apartments and now I’ve registered for french lessons at our local college. Haha, clearly I’ve lost it! 😉 In any case, I’m throughly enjoying your Parisian adventures and I can’t wait to see all that’s to come on Coco & Vera. I’m also thrilled to hear you’re having the time of your life and that you’re savouring every minute! Enjoy the charmed life, love, and I’m crushing on this beautiful outfit!! xo

that vest is so chic, it seems like the perfect wardrobe staple! This is such a lovely post and I’d be the same- trying to hold onto every moment as much as possible. Though it sounds like with as much as you are doing, you’ll look back at this time with no regrets because you did in fact make the most of it. Greece is so exciting! I’ve never been but ive heard so many darling things about it.
