Yes, we’re still in Vancouver – at least in photos. We have taken our first days in Paris uncharacteristically slowly; waking up early to adjust to the new timezone but spending the mornings at home, drinking tea and munching baguettes while pondering how to spend the day. The weather has been typical of Paris in March, with surprising sunny days interspersed between the grey and rain. Right now, it still feels like we have so much time – this is a beautiful luxury, but, sadly, one that I know won’t last, but for the short time while I feel like I have all the time in the world, I want to enjoy it. I think it’s a rare thing for all of us not to feel rushed, hurried or pressed for time because there are more things we want to accomplish than hours in the day. Personally, I have felt for years now that twenty-four hours in a day simply isn’t enough, so I’m grateful for a chance to escape that feeling, even for just a little while.

  1. Oooh, I’m looking to add black booties to my spring capsule and THOSE are perfect!! <3 I'll have to visit Le Chateau and see what they have + love the overall vibe of this outfit and I'm such a sucker for flowers!! As for having time and not feeling pressed, or rushed? A true luxury indeed and one I hope to have while Martin's on spring break. We're staying at our friends condo in Yaletown and I can't wait to plan out our days of coffee shops, shopping and just wandering the city. It's been too long… granted I'd take Paris over Yaletown, but haha, I'll take what I can get! xo

I’m happy to read that you’ve arrived safe and sound and everything’s off to a good start. You’re also providing me with a good case of ankle boot and jacket envy…so you’ve totally got that going for yourself!

I think easing into your new place and time zone is the perfect thing to do. There are so many times when the weekend has flown by that I wish I could have had some time to just sit and relax and savor a moment of nothing. Plus, when it’s grey and rainy, cozy blankets and hot cups of tea simply beckon. Enjoy.

  6. I’m so glad you’re able to take some time to just enjoy life. You deserve it! And funny enough, I have only been to Paris in March. So I know exactly what weather you’re talking about.

I’m glad you had extra blog posts Cee! That’s smart, so you can adjust to the new time zone etc. That jacket is so beautiful! It’s such a pretty grey! I love black & grey.
