The idea of wearing a coat with sandals seems laughable now – after two straight months of rain (I kid you not; it rained fifty-eight days out of sixty in October and November), it has been unusually cold for the past few weeks, which has forced the sun to come out while at the same time making open toed shoes a total impossibility (because frostbite isn’t chic.) But these photos, I am a bit embarrassed to say, got somehow forgotten; they were taken on what was probably the only day of sun in October, a quiet Sunday when we wandered down to Gastown in search of caffeine, followed by breakfast. I keep hoping we can have one of those lazy mornings again soon, but with the holiday season fast approaching, everything seems to be moving at top speed; even when I’m watching Netflix, I somehow feel rushed – I have not yet wrapped a single Christmas gift (or even bought gift wrap, for that matter), despite the fact that the big day is just ten days away. How are your holiday preparations coming along?

I love your nails and that fabulous coat.
Here its been raining non stop, add a week of hurricane rains and now hopefully some sun…
My holiday decor has been put on hold as my living and dining room had to be totally emptied and is being repaired. So the “holiday spirit” is also on hold.

I can’t believe how quickly this month is flying by (and how cold and wintery it’s gotten here). I’m really looking forward to being able to take a mini-break over the holidays though!

  4. Oh the freakin’ rain, right?! And now… the freezing temps have made outfit photos impossible for me. I’m currently wearing 2 sweaters blasting the heat and can not get warm… hopefully tomorrow’s boozy night will help with that! 😉 And your nails look absolutely incredible, love the colour and matte finish! As for Xmas prep?! This year, thank goodness, I’m relatively organized, bought most of my gifts online and I’ll be wrapping them this weekend!! xo

I know how you feel – just craving a morning with nothing on the agenda, where you can wake up when you want, and linger over coffee. And for it not to be freezing out.

I’m somewhere in the jumble of most of my presents being bought, some wrapped, nothing tagged (hopefully my memory is as good as I seem to think it is) and nowhere near being ready.

It’s always a struggle, one of these years I want to get on top of things so that on these December days I’m just relaxing and enjoying rather than stressing.

Oh, and that matte nail polish looks so good. I have a matte top coat and i’ve never once tried it, but now I think I must.

Cee, we went 60 days without rain! LOL It was dry as a chip. I understand, but you look great. I LOVE those heels! They are so beautiful. I also love that sweater! The peek of lace is so pretty.

I really wish I could be in open toe sandals right now as well. That would be a dream, but we also seem to be having an awful time with the weather.
Your coat though: it’s so chic and beautiful!
