There’s nothing I love more, aside perhaps from booking a flight to Paris, than receiving an invitation to a French-themed party. The Grey Goose Summer Soiree was a highlight of last summer in Vancouver and, admittedly, I wondered what Grey Goose could do to top that wild and wonderful evening. But the Boulangerie Bleue was beyond fabulous, with fresh French baguettes, classic Negronis and fizzy cherry cocktails that went down far too easily and the most beautiful sunset views over False Creek, the party did not disappoint. It was far more fun than I’m used to having on a Tuesday evening – we didn’t make our way home until well after sunset, and waking up on Wednesday morning was not easy. But it was completely worth it, because the reality is, the annual Grey Goose party is the second last summer celebration of the year. After Diner en Blanc next week, we will be on the all too quick slide towards the autumn, summer feeling as though its just arrived in time to end. And while we have some serious excitement planned for the fall that I can’t wait to share in the coming weeks, it also feels like I’ve barely begun to wear my denim shorts and sandals while in reality, the days when I will be able to wear them is seriously numbered. How are you spending the last days of summer?
That looks and sounds like such a wonderful party! In all honestly, I’m mostly just spending the last days of summer counting down the days until fall….

Somehow, that doesn’t surprise me at all! To be honest, I won’t be sorry when the temperatures are a bit cooler, but I will be sorry when the rain starts.

Oooh, excited to hear about your fall plans Cee!!! <3 As for summer? While I'm 100% excited for fall (because, hello, it's the best) I'm not letting go of summer quite yet… we plan on spending ours by the pool (I'm officially off bed rest BTW), hopefully seeing you guys and relaxing on our deck! And, speaking of fabulous summer memories?! This outfit is absolutely that. So, so good!! xo
Yay! So glad yo hear you’re off bed rest! A date is definitely in order in that case 🙂

I can’t believe Summer is almost over! I feel I haven’t lived it up! LOL I bet it was a wonderful party Cee. You and your friend looked beautiful. I’m adoring your straw hat! Very French indeed. You looked amazing. Glad you had a great time.

I always feel the end of the summer like a punch in the gut, you look at the calender and august is nearly gone?? summer weekends are so precious and few, it’s for those reasons that while we might not normally be swayed to venture out on a Tuesday night, we hate the idea of letting it slip by while we are tucked inside at our sensible bedtimes.
Glad the party was wonderful, and the setting looks divine, as does your dress – of course a little white lace dress would be the perfect choice for such an event.
