Before we left, I was so sure I would be ready to tell you all about New York first thing on Monday morning. It had been a while since I’d visited NYC, though, and I had forgotten just how exhausting all the excitement can be! I sat down to write this blog post after doing all the requisite post-vacation things – making a grocery list, turning on the laundry and other glamourous chores – and I realized, well, I’m just too tired to think of anything clever to say. I promise the excitement is going to pick up around here as the week goes on, but for now, I really just need a very large cup of tea before getting back into my daily routine. And possibly a (longish) nap after work. Happy Monday!
Avant que nous partions, j’étais certaine que j’allais être prête à vous raconter tout mon séjour à New York dès lundi matin. Ça faisait longtemps depuis mon dernier voyage à New York, comme vous savez, et j’avoue que j’avais oublié combien cette ville passionnante peut m’épuiser. Je me suis mise à écrire cet article après avoir terminétous les taches nécessaires après les vacances lavage, la liste de courses, tout ce qui est glamour – et je me suis très vite rendu compteque bon, je suis beaucoup trop fatiguée et que mes pensées manquent donc d’originalité. Je vous promets que mes histoires deviendront de plus en plus intéressant au fil de la semaine, mais pour le moment, il me faut un gros verre de thé. Et un peu de sommeil. Bon lundi !
