The sunsets over the ocean in Honolulu are the stuff that postcards are made of – and the crowds on the beach when the sun starts to go down are proof of that. But the changing evening skies that hang over Ala Wai canal are a different kind of beautiful; subtle, tinged with pastel pinks and blues, reflecting cotton candy colours on the murky water. The canal was just behind our apartment, so we spent a lot of time wandering along the banks, but the early evening was my favourite time, when it was finally cool enough to put on a pair of light pants – on a related note, these silk trousers from 8 Rue Pomme are without a doubt the most luxurious pair of pants I’ve ever owned; wearing pure silk anything is the easiest way to feel incredibly spoiled – and enjoy the beautiful surroundings without overheating. These are the last of my snapshots from Hawaii, and I’ll be back with fall fashions on Monday. Happy weekend! Mais le ciel changeant sur le canal Ala Wai a son propre charme; il est plus subtil, je trouve, avec ses douces nuances de rose et de bleu qui reflètent une touche de couleur rose clair sur l’eau généralement glauque. Notre appartement se trouvait juste devant le canal, donc nous avons passé beaucoup d’heures sur ses rives. J’ai surtout aimé l’ambiance tôt le soir, quand il faisait enfin assez frais pour mettre un pantalon léger – parlant pantalons, celui-ci de la marque 8 rue Pomme et sans doute le pantalon le plus somptueux que je n’ai jamais trouvé, pourrie gâtée que je suis – et on pouvait donc apprécier le joli cadre sans être en surchauffe. Ce sont mes derniers clichés d’Hawaii, et je vous reviens donc avec des tenues automnales dès lundi. Bon week-end !
