Under these city lights…

February 28, 2011
BCBG dress, Aldo heels, La Vie Parisienne earrings
Taking photos outdoors in public places is always a bit uncomfortable, particularly if there are lots of people around. When we shot these photos at the base of avenue George V, just off the Champs-Elysees, we actually attracted a crowd- a group of Russian tourists even stopped to take my picture, as if I were part of the scenery! Fashion blogging has opened me up to a whole world of new experiences and, in retrospect, that was one of the funnier ones… At the time, though, it was just awkward.
If anything deserves attention, its this gorgeous dress my husband bought me as a honeymoon gift. It has all of my favourite things rolled into one dress- lace, tulle and lots of dramatic black.

That dress is absolutely beautiful. You look really incredible in it.

Hehe, I understand about the awkwardness of taking pictures in public.

  14. Wonderful, your husband has an amazing taste!
    So your are/were in Paris???!!!

This dress is amazing, and you look so beautiful in it! Your husband has good taste (both the girl and the dress, hehe).

That must have been totally awkward with the pictures, though. I hate posing in public. I tend to just freeze up and the pics turn out horrible. You look like a natural, though!

Ooh la la You look tres Chic!! I'm not suprised you were being photographed by other people too! I would have been totally awkward- I would make the worst model…not that my awkwardness is the main factor holding me back from a modelling career! 🙂

OMG Cee this is breathtaking! Esp. the first picture.. wow! And to answer your question, the nailspolish brand is “P2” and the color is called “dating time”

  19. Cee says:

My darlings… You are wonderful. Your comments never fail to make my day 🙂

@Green Tea and Cupcakes… That's so sweet of you to say, but since I'm 5'2″, I don't think I coul ever convince anyone I was a supermodel… even in my six inch heels 🙂

@Zoe… Yes, we went to Paris on our honeymoon. That's also where we got engaged.

@lilacpurplesky… We were in Paris from January 30-February 15. (Not nearly long enough, if you ask me!) We try to visit every year, and if not, then at least every second year.

@My Eye… Thanks! I don't think I can buy P2 here, but I'm going to hunt for it on ebay!

And to all of you lovely girls who said my husband has amazing taste… Please keep it up, it might encourage him to buy me more dresses 😉
    xox,
